Forsythia is a flowering tree which is a member of the Olive Family.
Its small leaf size, branching, wood growth characteristics and bright yellow flowers in late winter to early spring
make it a great candidate for addition to any collection. They do not do well indoors at any time of the year.
They are bare from late fall through early spring. A Forsythia should not be kept indoors in winter unless it is in a location
where the temperature never goes above 40 degrees. In nature they can tolerate temperatures below zero.
When cultivated as a bonsai it is advisable to give it shelter (Cold Frame, Tool Shed, Garage etc.)if the temperature goes below 15 degrees.
