Japanese Maple

Japanese Maple is one of the largest, most varied species of tree used in bonsai cultivation.  Its small leaf size, and wide variety of colors, added to its branching and wood growth characteristics
make it a great candidate for addition to any collection.  More information below the photos
They do not do well indoors at any time of the year.  In the fall the leaves turn colors, and drop.  They are bare from late fall through early spring.  A Japanese Maple should not be kept indoors in winter unless it is in a location where the temperature never goes above 40 degrees.
