Southern Live Oak

Southern Live Oak (Quercus virginiana), is native to the Southern U.S.   They are not true evergreen trees, but they normally keep most of their leaves year-round.  In the spring as new leaves form most of the old leaves will drop.  They produce small acorns.  They can tolerate frost but do best at temperatures above freezing.  More information below the photos.
