The Dawn Redwood (Metasequoia Glyptostroboides) is a fast-growing deciduous conifer that produces cones from 1/2 to1 inch. It requires cool to cold winters but should be protected from extreme cold (low teens & below) in winter. It should get as much unfiltered, direct sun as possible
